This is to help others see that it gets better.

The public part wasn't the hardest. The hardest part was admitting what I had done to the world making the fact that I suffer from mental illness public to the world, my friends, my family. Im really happy I did though

I recently "came out" about my mental illness in a fairly public way (at the age of 42) after over 25 years of living with it. It was very scary, but like you I am SO happy I did. To be able to do this at your age shows a great deal of courage and love!
