Hi and if I haven't said it before welcome. Panic attacks- well theres no cure for them. as long as there are things out there that scare people theres going to be the problem with panic attacks, and unfortunately they dont run on time limits of ok its been X amount of days, weeks months and years so Im not going to EVER have another panic attack. so all we can do is take it one day at a time and have HOPE and more HOPE to see us through.

I was once in a support group by the name of HOPE - Helping Ourselves through Personal Empowernet. And what that meant was all the therapy and medications do no good if we don't do our share of helping ourselves by locating other resources and coping tools when needed.

One of my coping tools when experiencing a panic attack is that my therapist and I made a relaxation recoding recently during therapy. I carry that with me and listen to it when I start panicing, Another thing that helps me is music, opening a window (if I didn't live in an appartment I may just try yelling out that window some nights. LOL

Hang in there HALLIEBETH. it gets better. set backs are a part of the healing. This time you lasted 7 months, the next panic free cycle you might break that record.

As for the cutting. Im a cutter too. Ive actually made it one year.... last week. The urges get easier and then harder and so on. When I first started fighting it I only lasted an hour. The next day I lasted two, The next 3, Each time I have a set back in cutting I remind myself that I have been cutting for years so it just might take years to stop and all I can do is try to make it one day past the last record time. Hang in there this too does get easier.
