I can feel a weird sensation through my body like a nervous tingling energy and pain. Anyone else have physical feelings from depression?

I suppose depression can do a a number of things that would be surprising. The only sensations I've felt from it are fatigue and weakness. It does tend to amplify any physical issues. And any physical issues seem to exacerbate the depression.
On the other hand, in my experience with extreme anxiety, it can cause or exacerbate the sensations you mentioned. Some people tend to catastrophizeand extrapolate issues of pain while being extremely anxious or depressed. Not saying you do...just that it happens. Best thing to do would be to consult you doctor. |

Yep. I have pains in random parts of my body and my anxiety makes me so tense that i'm all knotted up in my shoulders and back half the time. As if the mental anguish wasn't enough, huh?! It's no fun

I have tensional headaches because of depression. I also feel sleepy even if I sleep for 12 hours. I do experience the tingling nervousness every once in a while. Sometimes I have this weird pain in my eyes after crying (even if I only cry for a few minutes).

I occasionally will get tingling or itching in the arms and rarely slight numbness in a leg.
The first time this happened, I made the typical internet self-diagnosis of MS, ALS, or brain cancer (or all of the above.) My Dr. didn't seem convinced, but I went ahead and got a brain MRI, which of course, showed nothing wrong. This was some years ago (7+?) and since then I am surprised how many seemingly healthy people I have encountered suffer from numbness/tingling when having some emotional/psychological issue. |

I have loads of knots in my back, it really hurts. I also get s tingling feeling throughout my body very often. Headaches and migraines are the norm. Ya it sucks.

For me it manifests itself in headaches (sometimes) and low back pain but especially fatigue. Like, overwhelming fatigue as opposed to just tiredness. I feel like I can't do anything. At its worst I can sleep for over 12 hours. I've awakened after 10 hours only to take a shower and make some food and then find that so exhausting that I've gone back to bed to sleep for another 8 hours or so. That's at its worst.
