For sixteen years, since I was 2.5 years old, my face was disfigured. It got to be that way because of a disease known as linear scleroderma. I endured unbelievable comments, stares, judgement, and so much more. At 16, I got to have my first facial reconstructive surgery, and it still looked disfigured. Then I had a second one a year and a half later, that changed everything. What I can't get over, is what happened to me, during the years that it was disfigured, oh yeah, and I have a brain tumor. I need help desperately. I need support desperately, I need love.

Bless your heart -- I cannot imagine what you endured during all those years, and what you continue to endure!
![]() The only way I can relate is feeling unloved. I can relate to that because as a child I never felt loved. My sisters and I were just "there" -- my parents showed us no affection at all -- no hugs, no "I love you's," no pats on the back for good grades or accomplishments, no nothing. It was like we were just pieces of furniture. ![]() Enough of me. You now have a brain tumor? Can it be removed? Can they treat it with radiation or anything? What are they doing for you? Do you have any family to help support you? You have been thru so much already. Have you checked to see if there's a support group at the hospital where you're treated? There just might be. It might not be for the exact same condition that you have, but perhaps something similar would do. A support group would be very helpful in dealing with some of the feelings you have, plus give you the much needed support! Plus we're always here too!!! ![]() Keep posting -- keep talking about it if it makes you feel better. Get it out. Don't keep everything all pent up. As I said, we'll be here and we'll listen. God bless & please take care. We DO care! Hugs, Lee |
