I just want to see my husband. The telephone is nice, but it's no substitute for pictures or video. It's certainly nothing compared to the real thing. I'm getting the feeling that my life will always be sad and cold and lonely. I know that's irrational thought, but it's been six months that I've lived with this. I'm starting to get used to it. Disgusting.

I just realized that I should have been more specific. I guess that's what I get for writing right as I get emotional.
 We're both in the military. He's in Iraq, I'm in Germany.

I don't even know what to say ... I could not imagine a life like that. How hard and frightening it must be for you.
I wish I had some really comforting words. Please just know that I care.

Thank you. It's comforting just to know that there are people who care even if they don't know me. I need a safe place right now. I'm hoping this can be it.

Oh Janine how difficult for you both to be apart and in the midst of a great deal of turmoil. I hope your husband is and stays safe and that you are reunited asap.
BTW, this is a safe place.
