Hey all, I just wanted to point something out to all of us dealing with mental illness, whether it be depression, BPD, addiction, whatever...lately, I have been reading a lot of posts from people who are dealing with the stigmas that we face (believe me, I have had my share of the ridicules and hurts)....one thing I have noticed in my time here on PC is that it is almost entirely a community of love, understanding, empathy, and support. Now step back and process that...this community is made up of the supposidly "damaged/broken/weak" people of society, and yet, we are also the ones who display such compassion and empathy for our fellow (wo)men. So what i guess i am trying to say is that even though we all struggle with our hurt, it is because of that hurt that makes us better, or stronger, in a sense...more so than most anyone else who doesnt suffer like we do. Sorry for rambling, this is just something i have been thinking about and i wanted to try to shed some positive light on all our dark days....i hope that all made sense...

Thank you for this post, NotAnotherDay.

I value this community a lot as well and I like the way you have expressed your appreciation of it above.

Hugs
