I'm 17 and at school I really don't have any friends and no one is really friendly to me. There's a few kids I hang out with at school but no one at my house, for example I haven't hung out with someone since middle school. School work has stressed me out and I work at my job a lot and i really don't have a life my dad even came home from overseas and I'm not excited or happy I don't know what to do it makes me sad that I don't know how to make myself feel happier. My parents keep asking if I'm alright because I've been so down in the dumps lately I just don't know how to make my self feel happy about my life.

Hello & Welcome, Ecoe82!
  • prolonged social isolation
  • stressful school work
  • job
  • Father overseas
All of that can combine to beat down your emotions to a place where they don't bounce back on their own.

We cannot diagnose you. Situation permitting, you would do well to discuss what you are experiencing with a counselor or doctor. Also, here are a couple non-diagnostic screening tests:
PsychCentral Depression Quiz
Sanity Score Quiz
Please keep posting as you are able.
