My mother is in a non-japanese avocational music drama group. Part of their performance will require yukata.
She asked if I can lend her my yukata. And we talked about may be I would helping out, because Yukata is a japanese clothing that require certain skill/method to wear.
I said if you need me sure, I will go. I am either like or dislike to help out. And I am either want or not wanted to help out. Coz I don't want being mistaken that I disire to get involve and help out, when in the case people don't need me.

I said I will need to be notify not at the last minute, coz I would like to practice. Coz performance is live and thus there’s time limit of everything including wearing the yukata.

So I wait and wait, but no answer of whether they need my help or not. And later,I found out that teacher is still deciding if she want me to help, coz she worry I would have mental issue during the show.
I found out (unintentionally ) from my mother phone conversation with her friend, near the window, and my mother is always loud.
I understand the teacher’s worry, (I am not happy) but I can understand and I am not upset about it. It’s her show, it’s important to her.

What I am upset is that the teacher procrastinates in deciding whether she want me to help or not. I don’t like people dragging on me, dragging on my time. Okay, I am upset she procrastinate, but I can understand she feel un-easy, (procrastinate) and holding on in making the decision.

What I am very very upset about is:
I talked to her on the phone, I told her I can understand of her worry. I just need an answer if she want my help or not. But she will not answer me. She said she worry I will be upset that I only get to help in wearing the yukata and then most of the time nothing to do, etc etc. And I said I won’t be upset for the reason she just told me on the phone.
I told her I can understand she worry I will have mental issue at backstage during the show, thus if she don’t want me to help, that’s fine with me. I just need an answer if she want my help but she still would not answer me. She ask me instead, and she talking circle and circle. I said can we just talk honestly and directly. She keep talking like a politician. She would not say yes or no, she just keep talking (going) circle. If she said, it’s okay, she will find someone to help, then period. It’s that simple.

I said it’s her show, not mine. I said call me the next day to tell me the answer (yes/no). If she don’t call me by the next day afternoon, I treat the answer as no.

***additional*** I said to the teacher if she don’t need me to help, she would need to borrow the yukata from someone else instead. I said I don’t trust other people in giving them my yukata but no within my sight. And she told me actually it was her yukata and that she gave it another lady. And the lady gave it to me instead. I said in theory it’s mine now. But if she still insist it’s belongs to her, she can also call me the next day before afternoon and asking it back. I would give it back to her.******

I just want a yes no clear direct answer, it's that so hard ? I am very frustrate she will not give me an clear, direct, definite answer.

I think maybe they can find other yukata for performance? Or does teacher want her yukata back? Is it very expensive? Why was it given away? These are things I would wonder about.
