HI all,
Im brand new here so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum, Joined on behalf of my husband today as he wont do it, and its regarding the medication Efexor 225mg.

He has severe depression and anger issues (self harm anger, like banging his head off walls ect., never, ever aimed at me) I suspect he has ADHD that sorts of comes and goes if that makes sense. He is often just far too hyper and OTT to deal with, but I have learned the cope as I love him. But the meds keep him in check most of the time and he finds them agreeable so I'm glad with that. He's more balanced you see!

Last night he woke me at 2am, I was so so tired as I had few bad nights sleep before so I wasn't very coherent, was deeply asleep after a sleep meditation! He said he was in complete agony, he had some strange sporadic symptoms, similar to efexor withdrawal, although he takes his tabs daily, the ailment seemed to come from the brain. Electric zaps shooting in the head when moving his eyes or head, even blining, dizziness, agitation and anger. flashbacks also and often he seemed really freaked out. I offered painkillers or to go to night doctor but he had no pain, and because it was his head, the doc would send him straight to A&E. We literally have had a belly full of hospitals as my dad is terminally ill and in and out regularly so he just woke for someone to be there. I felt awful, fell back asleep as was so exhausted but woke again around 4, literally with a jump realising I nodded off

He also wasn't beside me, or answering my calling. Found him on the couch all curled up like he was in pain but he said he was fine. But didn't seem it!

Today I think he still getting mild shocks as he is groggy and after a solpedeine he has nodded off in what looks like a nice comfy sleep! His sleep lately too he has been letting out little moans and seems like something is going on there too.

Has anyone ever experience these side effects for those tablets( like withdrawal) while still actually on them??? A little bit worried its something more serious and he wont go to doc for me! any knowledge would be appreciated from ye as I want him to be OK and be healthy and happy.
Thanks, and all advice will be appreciated!
Hugs from:

As everyone else has said in various ways....If he can't see his own doctor, then PLEASE take him to the ER. Sending good thoughts your way.....
