I was released from the hospital after two weeks, but I still feel the same except I am not suicidal and I cry less. I also feel somewhat detached from my children after being away from them for the two week. I just don't know what to do, the emptiness and hopelessness will not go away and I still have not motivation or energy. What am I going to do, I am miserable.

I've been worried sick about you wondering where you went.!!! Thank God you're posting and letting us know! Thank you for that! I'm glad you went into the hospital, but I would hope that you'd be feeling a bit better than THIS.
When do you see your doctor again? Is it soon, I hope? Usually they schedule you quite soon after you get out. I hope they have scheduled you soon too! If they haven't, PLEASE CALL the office and tell them you're not doing well! PLEASE, OKAY? Telll them you've been inpatient, and I'm sure they'll get you in. Are you on meds? Perhaps they'll increase your meds too. That's possible. i have a feeling it's all about the meds right now, and finding the RIGHT dosage for you. It might take a little while to get you stabilized. It did me after I got out of the hospital. Please just try to get some rest, and wait until morniing when you can call them, ok? But be SURE to call them FIRST THING in the morning. Don't forget! God bless, and post after you've talked to them. God bless and PLEASE take care. We're here for you. And THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN for posting and letting us know how you are. I was soooo worried about you! Big hugs, Lee |

I am sure the transition from inpatient to home is going to take some adjustment. I would like to point out that you stated you feel the "same" but no longer suicidal and are crying less. Hmmmm....sounds like you are doing alot better. They may seem like small things but they are major. You are home, your kids have the security of having a parent that doesn't want to remove themselves from this Earth and probably seems more cheerful to them.. Sure there is more work to be done but to me it sounds like you have done some great things. Good luck to you. Take care.

Well wishes to you. I like reading the forums here and seeing that, despite not having "in person" support, that this community is there for each other. I hope that you continue to get better post-hospital.
