My morning usually go okay, that is until I get to work. The second I sit down at my desk, I want to immediately be home. I hate it here.
Don't get me wrong, I really like my job, but it's just one of those things. I just don't want to do anything. I'd rather be at home in bed. |

Hello, Doggiedo! My, this is a puzzler. You like your work, but, right at the start of your work day when you sit down at your desk you feel like you want to go or be at home.
Does the feeling go away after a while, or does it persist throughout the day, or does it come and go during the day? (Feel free to ignore the nosy questions. It might be valuable to pin down a specific trigger.) ![]()

I was wondering if it has something to do with work relations, ie colleagues and / or line manager. This has largely been the case for me.
This would explain the fact that you like your work but you want to go home when you are there.

Good questions. I Just don't feel like working on what I have on my to-do list. We have students on campus for summer orientation and I am just not feeling like doing the sessions that I have to be all peppy and "up" for. I also switch locations (campus') where I work so I have to work this week in the lonely campus - one or two people in their offices in the entire building.
Also, I'm just demotivated. I like working in education for the most part because every month, basically, comes a new "job" of things to do to prepare for classes, new students, new lesson plans, etc. I like the cyclical nature of it. But I also like doing nothing lately too. |

Funny its the other way around with me. I am less depressed when i am in work i think its because it is something i have to do and not something i want to do if that makes sense. ??
