I'm starting to feel a slide downward.

After all of the CRAP this weekend, now the attacker's supporters are climbing out of the woodwork. I know I'm going to let it overshadow all of the support and rallying behind me that I've received, even when the other people who feel hurt by this stand up and say "No, I WON'T support what ______ did. No, I DON'T think ______ should be allowed to stay."

Why do I let the small amount of bad smother out the overwhelming amount of good? ignore them, ignore them, ignore them

It's even being assumed that I'm going to be an irresponsible, uncaring dog owner.

Why would I go through all of this just to have something to kick around? Do some people even READ or COMPREHEND what we've written?

I'm not asking for a handout; I'm accepting the offers of support that have been given without pressure. I'm not EXPECTING anything.

Wi:
Hang in there with me baby. The winds are starting to calm. Just that other parts of the area are getting a rather different side of the storm.

I am glad it is going to work out for you to get the dog you have posted about it.
Go easy on what you reveal. You still know people can come on this site without being registered. There could still be evildoers among us.
I know this has been a true whirlwind for you.
That those of us who are embracing you do just that and please breathe deeply so you can feel the warm vibes coming your way!!

I know you are hurting despite your strong armor...
It is okay!

Maybe I'd better go get her first thing in the A.M. before anyone has a chance to screw it up AGAIN.

Why do the same people who are saying "don't be unsupportive of _____" have to make uneducated comments about my abilities as a pet owner?

"Wi ask why?"
You cannot keep letting "them" get ya.
Go get your doggie tomorrow.
My advise, take down the pix.
Say little more about the pup.
Do what you got to do to get that puppy home!!!
And, let "them" spew any thing they want...you don't have to be party to their beliefs and ignorance!

It's too late to edit the post, and everyone else is posting their pets' pictures. ignore them, ignore them, ignore them

I'm back to not feeling safe at all.

Hon, I did not even think about the timing of my pics. I am so sorry if it upset you. I honestly was not not thinking when I did it. In fact I just spent an hour reading one of the threads explaining everything.
Try and look forward to how exciting tomorrow is going to be. Your going to be a new mom!!!!!!
One thing I have said about my past abusers is I know they remain in control if I let them and one of the best things you can do for yourself is not let them control you. Let your focus be on YOU and your new family member hon.

Chery, I didn't mean you made me feel unsafe. I mean.......why would they have to target MY dog of all the pictures that are out there? This will be her third home in less than a month. She was found as a stray about 3 weeks ago, adopted out for a week, and returned because of behaving like the puppy and breed that she is.

It would make me absolutely SICK if someone found out where she is this time, because I was careful to only put up her picture from the zoomed-in page and not the actual web site. This little girl needs a forever home and I'm determined to give it to her.

I'm sorry I misunderstood. Your love for her would definitely make you an absolutely wonderful owner hon. My heart breaks for you and you have my support 110%. I have only begun to get too know you and I can tell you I wish there were more people like you out there with this much love and determination. Not only do you deserve her but she deserves you!!

Shirley, I know you are feeling nervous, I am sorry for that. I hope you get Betsy Wetsy without a hitch. I don't understand the comments about cliques and anyone making comments to not support you. I haven't seen it. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, just maybe I missed it but please try to let yourself settle as you expand your new family and teach a young dog new tricks.
