I.m a husband of a depressed wife and I am looking a support
group for myself to help me coup with my wife's depression. |

Also, try NAMI (nami.org)...they have groups specifically for folks who have a family member with mental health issues--it's called "Family To Family". There should be one close to you in NC.

she has been dealing with this for a long time, several years before i met her. things lately seem to be getting worse, and I need help understanding and help her out.

If you are looking for real time therapy and support groups contact the mental health agencies in your area and your nearest NAMI, your family physician can also help you hook up with real time groups as can your local Department of human services. I have also found phone books to be a great help.

You may also want to look into the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA). There's a webpage that shows when/where meetings are all over the country. In my city, there's a meeting for family/friends of those with mental illness. My husband is going to his first meeting Monday night.

Yes, it is very hard for families to deal with someone who has depression. Everyone here has good advice.
