Not so sure why I'm sad tonight. I had a good week. I think maybe I'm just keying down. Idk. I also have a baby quilt I am working on for my friend and her shower is in 3 weeks. Idk if I have time to finish it. I should borking on it right now but I already spent time working on it for 2 hours tonight. She didn't give me the color scheme until last week so I am really on a time crunch.

Do I go to my parents house and visit them tomorrow like I wanted or do I stay here and just plug away at the quilt? I hate having to be pressured to rush it..it's not a fun experience for me.

Looking back on this post, I'm not sad I guess...just frustrated and a little stressed I guess....

I also have a sore throat and think I might be coming down with a cold- yuck!

i'm sorry. I know the feeling of not being sure HOW you feel. And now you're coming down iwth something besides! Good grief.

Try not to get stressed over the quilt. If worse comes to worse, you can either buy her something when the times comes, or just tell her that her gift is coming, when you get it finished. But don't get all whacked out about it. You know she'll get it sometimes. And shame on her for not giving you the color scheme until last week! What's the matter with her - does she think you can whip it up in a days' time? DUH. She must be blonde. (I'm blonde too!)

How about just taking care of yourself for once? I doubt you've done much of that, right? It's always about someone else. Well, think of YOU once of awhile.

God bless hon, and take care. Hugs, Lee

You're probably tired too........relax...maybe you can visit parents and work on quilt too......Nothing is a life or death situation......the earth will still be orbiting....If you don't finish the quilt you can give it when baby arrives...this will buy you more time and like the post above(Lee) said you could buy a shower gift!!

It's great that you are putting your health before anything else. Don't feel bad; it's important that you rest up, relax, and drink up those fluids before you do anything else. I hope you feel better!

Take care of yourself. The baby won't know about the quilt for a while yet! Your friend should understand if it's not right on time. I have wrapped up a picture of the quilt with needles and thread because I wasn't finished a quilt on time. There is so much going on around the arrival of a baby that sometimes it's nice to get something a while later when things have calmed down a bit. Go easy on yourself.
