I cant seem to motivate myself do to anything with out caffeine or an energy supplement during the day. Its like an effort to do anything. But when i have like a Red Bull or something i feel like a DIFFERENT person- not as DEPRESSED as usual and more talkative. i tried b vitamins a while ago-- might try em again. i know depression can mess u up real bad.

are you on any meds? honestly, I felt exactly like you before the prozac. I also take B, D, magnesium, fish oil and biotin. I feel those help a lot in addition to my meds.

sorry you're not feeling great! we all can relate for sure.

I read an article that caffeine and sugar hits a receptor in the brain almost like anti depressants do.......which explains a lot for me too

I have tried to change my diet to help get more energy but, like you and others here, I take b12, magnesium, iron, folic acid. There are several reasons I take this stuff and energy is one of them. I'm not all that sure it helps the energy level, though.

When I was severely depressed, it always helped me to go for a quick run or walk. Working out helps to get you out of the house and makes you focus on the outside world instead of your problems. I am not condoning avoiding your problems in any way, but a brief reprieve is always helpful. I know it sounds weird, but you will feel more energy during the day, and it may help to reduce your caffeine intake as well. I hope you feel better soon. Keep posting.
