Hi there, I'm brand new to this website. I don't know much about it. All I know if that I need to vent right now, and doing it on Facebook or my blog would just be awkward, and I just don't have anywhere else to let this out. So here goes.

I'm 28 years old, living with my parents and have no friends in this city. I'm overweight and underachieving at university. I still have a year and a few months of university to go through to get qualified to teach, which was the one thing I thought I really wanted to do, and I'm not even sure I want to do that anymore. I feel I'm getting old and have no career prospects, no chance of finding love and no goals to achieve, let alone any way to achieve them. I'm $40,000 in debt, with another year of study to go. The last person I loved, we broke up 3 years ago after becoming more like brother and sister than anything else.

I just feel like there's nothing going for me right now, and I needed to let it out (trust me, I've tried the bottling-it-up thing - makes things worse).

To be honest, I don't even need anyone to reply to this, I just need people to read it. So I haven't written it for no reason.

Hi dear Tapu ~ And welcome. I'm so sorry you feel so badly. Believe me, I've been where you are as far as the depression. I was never able to go to college.

My friend is there any way you can see a therapist? Too expensive? If so, PLEASE see the counselor at the school. Every school/college has one. Please go talk to him/her and let them know what's' going on. Believve me, they can help you. Right now, you need a professional to talk to. WE really aren't qualified to help you right now. You're dealing with depression and school issues that we can't handle for you. I wish we could

Just remember that you can switch your major if you want. It might be a little late, but it can be done. Talk to the counselor. I wish you the very best. But keep posting here too, will you? It will do you alot of good. And let us know how it comes out. God bless. Hugs, Lee

Well, I've read your post, but it's actually short for a vent. Please feel free to add to what you've written.

"Underachieving" can mean many things; anything specific? (You can ignore the question.)

Welcome Tapu! I'm sorry that you are feeling so badly about yourself and your life right now. Like Leed said, you need to talk to the school counselor. They are there to help you. You will be a valuable addition to the education system so please keep on learning.
