this might be a little off topic but i was wounder about something. for most of my adult life i have had a sudder(like from being cold) it doesnt happen ofter maybe once a week, maybe. but its odd, cuz i have never seen anyone else do it, it starts with a tingleing around the spine and neck then, then holds for a sec before i twitch most of the time is last bout 1 to 2 seconds. now when this happen i cant really help it like a sneeze and i twitch my head. it doesnt bother me, in fact its kinda like a good sneeze feels little bit on the good side. i wanted to know if anyone else has something akin to it or maybe the same thing .. just woundering?

when my ship ran out of fuel i burned the things that made it pretty when i ran out of that i burned the things i loved when i ran out of that i burned willpower to keep me moving. its not a pretty ship but it still moves.

Hi Lost - I know what you mean, but I don't have an answer for you. It's a good question, though - I don't know what is the physiological reason behind shuddering. If you're cold, then it makes sense (to increase blood circulation or something like that), but scary things can make a person shudder, too.

I'll see if I can dig up anything on the internet.

We are ALL going to be a-ok!

I have that occasionally, not as often as you describe though. Maybe a few times a year for me. And yes, like a sneeze, it feels good to release it.

It usually happens for me at non-obvious times, during a random conversation for example, but when it happens there is usually something non-obvious that was said that triggers it for me. Something emotional, not necessarily scary. Usually something i don't want to talk about so i try to hide the shudder sometimes or explain it away.

My husband gets a shiver now and then for no apparent reason. He can be doing anything not nothing at all. He's funny... he says "there goes that bunny again. Ahhh!!" LOL Apparently, there is an old wive's tale that says when you get a shiver for no reason, it means a rabbit just hopped across your grave. Sometimes he says he gets a whole herd of 'em. LOL

I used to get goosebumps quite easily but not anymore. Call me weird, but I used to think it was fun comparing the size of the bumps with my friends. odd sudder?

odd sudder?
