I think this is a complex problem that requires complex solutions. So no, unfortunately, I don't think there is a quick fix. But getting outside and doing interesting things can definitely jumpstart you.

Like "everything" said, there is no quick fix for major depression. Some people take melatonin to try to help, or other herbs, but if it's major depression it usually doesn't help.

You really need to be seen either by a therapist or by your medical doctor. It usually takes time to be diagnosed and treated for major depression. So I'd advise you to see your medical doctor first and perhaps be referred to a therapist.

I wish you the very best. Keep us posted on how you're doing, ok? God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee

I wish there was. The worst thing I could do when I'm really bad is stay inside by myself and dwell on it. If I'm going to stay inside, I try to watch a good show, or listen to happy music, eat something yummy, or read a good book. If I'm going to go out, if I don't have money I might go take a walk. If I do have money, I'd go buy a cup of coffee somewhere, or take myself out to eat. If I had friends nearby, I might go do something with one of them. But a lot of times I am a loner. Not antisocial, but I just prefer being alone. Sometimes I play with my cat. He's nuts and very entertaining. I wish I could give you a quick fix. Heck, if I come up with one I'll tell everyone.

A quick fix would bring it back quicker. It takes time and effort. Its like preparing for battle. Take the time to train and you will win.
