I keep thinking I'm doing better, then life throws me a curve ball. I'm so alone that it actually hurts. My one good friend died last summer. Cancer. Her birthday was last week. Feeling really alone, and here come the holidays. No family around. No invitations. Can't get in to see the pdoc until after Thanksgiving. I really hate the holidays. .

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. I know what that loneliness feels like and it often feels worse around the holidays. Hope things start going well for you and just feel free to vent on here and keep us posted.

I hate the holidays too. All I can do is wonder where those postcard good times are. Is there any live support groups in your area? They are a good place to meet people who feel like you do and a good distraction from all that tinsel and twinkling lights (gag). Hang in there, you'll get through it.
