So...today was the day of my final exam for my Psychology class...I got a 67% and I even studied for it...or atleast tried to study for it...my final class grade is 79% *sigh* I wish I did better...I feel like a failure...

I couldn't concentrate studying at all yesterday...my mom and dad were arguing and all I could hear was my mom's yelling and it continued on into this morning...I feel like a big disappointment....I tried all I could this semester and a "C" feels like an "F" to me....I hate myself....

What is wrong with a "C"??? It's sure better than a D, right? You are FAR from a failure, my friend ! My gosh, I think I'd jump for joy if I got a C. I think that's great. Especially if you were studying while your parents were arguing. And personally, I think that was pretty rotten -- they could have been quiet for you while you were studying -- afterall, I'm sure they knew you had an exam coming up, right? Did they HAVE to fight right then? And they say KIDS are difficult.

You did wonderfully, in my book! Stop beating yourself up. Don't ask for perfection! Just ask for progress!!! You did great! Hugs, Lee

I know this is going to sound corny and cliche, but as long as you did your best you have nothing to be ashamed of. You are not a failure. I am a teacher and I wish I could get every student's best effort. Don't beat yourself up.

Th-thank you... *cries*

I told my mom and I heard a bit of disappointment in her voice...she told me I should of studied more...

I'm used to getting "A's" and "B's" and I think she was expecting either of them but a "C"....now I hate myself...

Thank you...I wish I did better...I still feel like a failure because I usually get "A's" or "B's" and being in college is the kicker...I want to pass with higher grades so I get a better job... I'm horrible...

You aren't horrible you're human! We all have times when we feel like we didn't do as well as we thought we should. Hang in there. Let go of the guilt. You have nothing to be ashamed of!
