Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried Deplin? I have done research on it and was wondering if anyone knew if you had to be deficient in the folate or have the "genetic mutation" that prevents adequate folate levels, to benefit from this medication. Has anyone's doc presecribed this, what have been your experiences? Thanks

I have taken it, and it didn't do anything for my depression. Also, my insurance didn't cover it because it is considered a "Medical food", and so it was expensive. The nice thing though was there was no side effects. I would talk to your doctor if you are interested.
