The sun is up and so am I. Despite a few nagging feelings of disappointment I am going into work today where I am a valued and respected employee. I know my day will include a lot of 'up' transactions with people I work with. I know a lot of these people are not really up but are just acting that way for things to operate more smoothly on a business level. Some are genuinely happy too.

There will possibly be some angry moments in my day as well. I'm going to do what I can to make them shortlived because I know at the end of the day it's me that is responsible for my feelings and what I did with myself.

I hope each of you has a real (good) but real day too.

Darn, I wish I had seen this earlier. What a GREAT post!! Thank you! I had kind of a icky day, and if i'd read this early this morning, I'm sure it would have gone better.

I don't work -- I'm disabled, but still --- with just the little I can do around the house, I think it would have gone better had I seen your post. Positive things like this make a big difference early in the morning. I also have chronic severe pain, and I don't always wake up in the best of moods -- but this has made me feel better == it's about 8:30pm, and this is usually the worst time of the day cause I've been up since 4:30am this morning, and by this time the pain is usually pretty much out of control. But this post made me feel pretty good.

Thank you my friend. I appreciate you. God bless & I hope you sleep well tonight. Hugs, Lee

Im really glad you got something good from this Leed. I think it helps knowing what some things are going to happen in my day. That way it isnt such a surprise when it happens and I already have a plan in place for dealing with it. It got kinda hectic in the afternoon and at one point I wasnt sure If I could handle it. But I used shine and focus. When something upset me I shined it on (meaning let it pass, there was nothing I could do to change it from not happening) and focused on what needed to be done. The day turned out good, a lot better than it would have if Id given in to the anger feelings and let them ruin my day as well as others like has happened in the past. And I didnt ruminate about things later.

Thanks shlump and Rohaq too.

Sorry to hear about your pain and daily struggles too.
