I just had a doctors appt (physical), I was only getting a check up, and he said that I may have a tumor in the back of my brain. I have to go get xrays. I am so scared, and mad, and all these other feelings. I am only 13, and I may have a tumor. My grandma passed away from cancer in her brain, back, and lungs. I dont know what to think or do.

I would be very afraid too. Odds are you do not have cancer or even a tumor. I hope they send you to a neurologist they know best on this kind of thing. Still, I would be very afraid. I think that is normal. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts and pm me any time.

Thank you guys for the support. I am going to get a brain scan tomarrow. And I am extremly nevrvous. My mom still isnt giving me any support, I feel alone.

Remember, even if there is a tumor, not all growths are cancerous. Thinking good thoughts for you. I'm sure the scan personnel will be nice

I had no idea you were 13, your very wise for your age.
Anyway, yes, it's normal to be a little scared, especially with what happened to your Grandma (sorry), but please do not get to scared and freaked out till you get your x rays. It may just be a false alarm and the doctors may just be extra cautious since it is heredity and you had a family member experience this. I'm going to keep you in my thoughts. Please keep us posted and let us know what the Doc says okay.

Thank you all for your support. I went and I got my scan. But I dont have the results yet. I will keep posting to keep you uptodate.
