does lamotrigine have sexual side effects? is it effective if you feel emotional?

Yes it does have sexual side effects, I stopped taking it because. A good site to look up side effects: www.drues.com. a Pharmacist told me about this, you can look up every drug imaginable.

No lamictal doesn't cause sexual side effects. It's probably your underlying condition of bipolar disorder or depression itself. It doesn't affect serotonin like the SSRI antidepressants which cause sexual disfunction. Instead it works through and independent mode of action acting as an antagonist at the NMDA receptor. YMMV, though.

Lamictal has been an excellent mood stabilizer for me...few side effects once it's titrated up to a theraputic dose without problems.

I'm on lamictal as a mood stabiliser. Read the manufacturing leaflet that comes with the medication or look up the leaflet online. Also, you could discuss any queries with your psych, GP or pharmacist?

That's not an issue for me.
It helps me as a mood stabilizer.
