I don't know what to do anymore - just don't want to live with this anymore. Nothing is good. I've been in therapy for years, take anti-depressants and nothing is helping. I can't take feeling this way any more.

Hi my friend ~ If your antidepressant isn't working, PLEASE talk with your doctor because obviously it needs to be changed or else the dosage needs to be increased! It's really simple to fix this -- you just have to tell your doctor. don't be afraid to talk to him. He can't fix this unless you TALK to him and tell him it isn't working.

These drugs sometimes don't work, and they have to be changed to something else. No big deal. He CAN make you feel better, okay? So PLEASE tell him that the antidepressant isn't working, and he WILL fix it for you.

Let me know what happens will you please? I really would like to know. God bless and take care. Hugs, Lee

I totally understand how you feel. I'm so sorry you are hurting. Has your Dr. given new meds a fair trial with you. It took years for me to get the right mix. I needed mood stabilizers as well as 2 anti depressants. We don't have any therapists where I live, but the meds are enough. I stay away from any negative stories,
tv, news, movies etc.
I hope you feel better.
Thanks for this!

((((4peace)))) Just a thought - you might try printing out your post and giving it to your doctor to read. I have done this in the past and it really helped me. Good luck, keep posting and Welcome to PC.

I've felt the same way before and so have many of here others here. I think it was good advice to perhaps try other meds. I tried maybe 10 different combos before I came to something that has worked. I'm sorry I understand the pain. I hope you feel better ASAP.

Do some googling. Look up nutrition and mental health. Research and you might be able to get some results there. phyto plankton, spiralina, goji berries, cocoa. Do some digging. I buy wild blue berries and they give me a boost. Eggs and fish seem to have lots of nutrients.

I agree w/ other posters.
Make an appt ASAP w/ ur pdoc.
At the end of last yr I was really depressed. One of my meds was increased and after a few months.
I had to begin a new med. I still have some depression and I'm hoping the new med will kick in soon.

Stay strong and don't give up.

Yes, I have said the same & quite recently. After a while it's just the same old thing over & over. I've been on all sorts of medications. Currently I'm on Cymbalta. It's not great, but it's the best of what I've had. I'm an older person & I have to accept that I will be like I am for the rest of my life. I wish I had an answer for this. I don't. Do see you doctor. Look at nutritional changes that might help. If you're not employed, look into some volunteer work. Consider learning some new skill you'd like to know about. Try yoga, mindfulness meditation. Any or all of these things may be helpful. Also find some support, if this is lacking in your life. Find a self-help group to join or do some group counseling. Best wishes! (If you find a magic solution, please let me know! I could use it too!)
Thanks for this!
