prozac kicked in after 4 weeks?
I think its been about 4 weeks and the prozac might have just kicked in. Feeling somewhat stimulated but not too anxious this morning. Early this morning was very anxious feeling I did not know what to do with myself. The past couple weeks before today its been like I was ok in the morning but after then after it wear off a bit. Anyone have this effect?

No, I haven't had that problem. It's probably just an idiosyncratic reaction you're having. Otherwise, I might think it's in your diet, i.e., too much caffeine, too much wheat, too much red meat. Try using the "lemon thing" to cut down on the acid of tissues and fluids. That might help.

Heres what wikipedia says.

Therefore, the concentration of the drug and its active metabolite in the blood continues to grow through the first few weeks of treatment, and their steady concentration in the blood is achieved only after four weeks.[66][67] Moreover, the brain concentration of fluoxetine and its metabolites keeps increasing through at least the first five weeks of treatment.[68] That means that the full benefits of the current dose a patient receives are not realized for at least a month since its initiation.
Thanks for this!

I'm happy for you! I'm on my 11th day of the normal dose of paroxetine. so it makes me calmer to see that I actually have to wait much much longer. Even though I've been on the half dose for almost 5 weeks.
good luck, I hope it really kicks in ! and then we party

Yes, prozac has a long half-life. The effectiveness should increase. And prozac can make you feel jittery and edgy in the beginning. Everyone is slightly different though.
