Does anybody know if they use testosterone to treat depression in males? I was listening to a doctor today and the symptoms of depression are identical to the symptoms of low testosterone (depression causes low testosterone and vice versa). I'm going to ask my psychiatrist about it next week but I was wondering if anybody else has seen that?

While I do understand that Low-T can cause depression, I have personally never heard of TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) being used specifically to treat depression. Have you by chance had your testosterone levels checked?

Like most people, I genuinely don't think I would still be around if it wasn't for music, so here's a hat-tip to some of my favorite lyrics (for one reason or another): "If I speak at one constant volume / At one constant pitch / At one constant rhythm, right into your ear / You still won't hear, you still won't hear / You still won't hear, you still won't hear" - 'A Small Victory' by Faith No More "Difficult enough to feel a little bit / Disappointed, passed over / When I've looked right through / To see you naked and oblivious / And you don't see me" '3 Libras' by A Perfect Circle "Loneliness it shadows me, quicker than darkness / Crawls to the surface of my skin, visibly surrounded by it / Black is all I feel, so this is how it feels to be free" 'Am I Inside' by Alice in Chains |
