One word in particular since a traumatising medical appointment last year.

Over ten years ago a certain word came up in an unpleasant encounter in a group situation. To this day every time I hear said word - regardless of the context - I physically shudder.

My dog  mastered the "fetch" command. He would communicate he wanted something, and I would fetch it.

Ugh, yes, words are so powerful. Let's make sure we do our best to use the best ones we can. As for not being triggered, I don't know!

Yes, many of us are very sensitive, even images on television are problems for me,
so I just don't watch it. |
