My niece is getting married in September; I thought I was going to be able to save money to go but I havent been able to do it. I was hoping my disability would come through, but I'm not even getting the hearing until just a few days before we are all supposed to go. I can finance my daughter's trip up there, but I can't do both of us. And some of my family says they can pitch in with helping to make sure that at least my daughter gets there. I just really feel bad, because it's so hard for me to travel, but I really wanted to try to make it for this.

Obviously you love your niece because you are trying very hard to be there for her. Be glad your niece at least wants you there. She must love you, too.
My mother's niece, whose daughter she helped take care of while she worked on her bachelor's degree, got married in a large wedding and didn't even bother to invite my mother. My mother is still deeply hurt by this insult. I'm still angry at my cousin for hurting my mother. ![]() |

I'm so sorry that you can't afford to go to your niece's wedding. You sound you have a close family and that's something to hold on to. At least your daughter will be able to go and your family. Your family will no doubt be empathetic to your situation. Best Wishes to you.
