My parents are visiting and I have been very angry with them and sad over past events that happened while living with them. They look like such nice people and I found myself laughing hysterically at some stories they were telling. In the midst of my guilt I found myself feeling confused about my emotions. How can I be so angry with them, but yet laugh with them too? It doesn't feel right. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Family is one confusion after another. I think it's perfectly normal to have different feelings about one thing. Life is complicated so one time we see this aspect of it and next time we see it in another way. Your perfectly normal--don't worry.
I hope you have someone to talk with. Just expressing your feelings may help you sort out your thoughts. I hope you feel better soon. |
