How long before meds kick in? I'm on wellbutrin xl 300mg and buspar 15mg 2 times a day. Been sleeping 12 hours and more a day when I'm off work. When I'm at work I avoid my coworkers. I don't want to do anything. I just want to stay in bed and sleep, because when asleep I don't have to deal with myself being so depressed.

Hi, I can say that I feel much the same - except I don't have good luck with sleeping, sometimes insomniac. But I spend a lot of time in bed regardless, it's still a little pacifying. I hope your meds kick in soon. I know it can really help. I've been on different meds since Jan but nothing's helped yet.

They say it takes about 3 weeks for the meds to get properly into the system. Please go back to your Doc if you feel the dose is wrong or isn't working for you.

It's been 26 days. I have another appointment in August so if I'm not feeling better by then maybe I should try something else, but I hate those anti-depressants that have sexual side effects and cause weight gain. I do remember Zoloft working pretty well. It helped with my social anxiety too.

Keep on going back to your dr. until you get the right meds. It all takes time and follow through, meaning that you may have to go back for med adjustment many times. If they can find the right ones for you though it is well worth it. Please continue to fight for your happiness.
Good Luck
