Does anyone ever feel like they are living just to protect others from the pain of you leaving them. I have a little brother who couldnt cope with my death. Its keeps me from every trying anything. I love him, and he isn't at an emotional place to be able to deal with that and depends on me allot. It makes me feel trapped though... living just to protect him. I had to protect him all growing up.

Yes Esther...all the time...My children have saved me more than once...I cannot do that to them...and now I have two small granddaughters and I am trapped into living again...but they are also my joy...so maybe it is for a reason!!!

Yeah... cause I'm sure not sticking around for me. I hate the thought of hurting them... though it's not always enough. But it is for now. At least for a while.

Yes. If it weren't for my 2 kids, I would be "outta here". Sometimes I worry that my existance is doing more harm than good. Then I'm really in trouble. I don't stick around for my husband though. He would be a lot better without me, and with someone (anyone) else.

I think of that too sometimes complic8ted...that my husband would be better off with someone new...but he insists that is not true...but honestly we cannot do that to our children...they would be hurt for the rest of their lives...we have to hang in there for them...and us..!
