my depression has flared up in a big way and i'm by myself in most of it. i am hoping to make some friends that i can talk to every now and then, to get my mind off things for a while. today is a really bad day and i could use a distraction.

Hi Gayle,

I'm sorry your depression is so bad too. I just want to talk about things that are normal, light things. I wanna find some people with common interests to just shoot hte breeze with because it gets lonely sometimes without anyone to talk to.

I read on your profile that you are the cat lady. How many do you have? I have dogs myself. I have 2, one Lhasa Aso and one Maltese. Both are in their elder years and are my darlings.

Right now, I have two and a lot of others in the neighborhood that I feed. Animals are such great companions. They always know how to cheer a person up.

Granted animals are a gift. I've had many through the years and gone through the pain of losing quite a few along the way. Sad days those were. I'm glad to have my two they are old but still manage to make me smile. They are about the only thing that makes me smile, except when I have to force a smile at work, which is a lot. It's hard to do when depressed but I manage.

Hello to you and all the other depressed people like me. I found a good place on here, the Music Share chat. It is there most evenings and it really lifts my spirits to share a song that is in my head or anything fun I find on Youtube. Try it! It is hosted by Sad Dad, you can stop by his page & say hello there too.
Very nice people on PC. I know I am grateful to the friends I have made here. We don't have to struggle on alone. I love that.

Hi NWgirl. I'd like to, but I've been having issues getting into chat lately. I don't know if it's my computer or my connection or what but it doesn't load.

maybe ask about it in the tech help? Or just do a power down and up to see if that clears the cookies.
I am around too if you want to shoot me a message or send me a link to anything.
