I just keep getting more and more depressed and just want to sleep all the time. In fact I have been sleeping way more than usual. I don't know what to do. I'm worried about starting my new job, I have no energy at all.

Is it possible some sort of physical problem has developed, perhaps hidden behind the MI symptoms?
Congratulations on the job - wishing you success. ![]()

Sounds like depression. Do be sure you are ready to go to work--have clothes laid out, some way of being sure you are awake in time to get ready.
Remember, everyone won't expect you to know much when you start work. They will train you. You want to do well so you will do the best you can. It will be OK. Tell yourself, I'm OK, I'll try hard, I'll do fine. Expect that, and it will come true! |

I don't know. I am deficient in iron and vitamin d, but I've never felt this bad

Congrats on the new job! Is it possible some anxiety about that is making your symptoms flare up? Go in there with a positive attitude and you will do fine
![]() In regards to sleeping a lot, the more you sleep the more tired and lethargic you will get. Try to limit your sleep to 8 hours or less in a 24 hour period, your body doesnt not physically need more than that (unless there is a medical problem). The more you sleep the worse you will feel. Its really hard when you're on sedative meds etc but you've really got to work hard at keeping yourself out of bed to stop it getting worse. I'd never leave bed if I didnt have to, its safe and warm and there is no pressure, I can totally understand why it is so hard to keep out of it. |

Supernova is right. You need to get a schedule going that keeps you out of bed, except for needed sleep (8hrs). It will be hard at first but then you will start to feel more energy. Good luck on your new job. That will help with getting you into a new schedule and help get you more active.

I think that the iron has a lot to do with it. I'd get a supplement. To prepare for your new job, I would try establishing one task every day and completing it. That will make it easier to get into a healthier mindset.
