Feeling very alone and unwanted today. What I wouldn't give for him to wipe that hatred off his face and just give me a smile..a hug..just a look that says we are ok....

Hi holdingonhope. Struggling with him? Have you considered trying to seek support outside of your marriage--maybe develop some close friendships or get a supportive counselor? It sounds like you can't count on him to provide you with it. Please find a way to help yourself--you deserve to feel better.....D.

I do have some support outside my marriage. I have a friend who is married to a man with BP and we talk often. I have considered getting professional help for myself but as I am the professional I feel a bit odd doing this. Yes I know even therapists need therapists but it still feels like a last resort. I will look into it though as obviously I am just not going to be able to pull out of this on my own.

While not a mental health professional, I held a very high professional position before my retirement. I am thankful for those times I reached out to a therapist...it was very meaningful and helpful to me and I would encourage you to go ahead with it. It's very validating and clarifying to have someone in your corner, supporting you when you are in a time of trouble and turmoil in your personal life.
