Any advice on how to feel better about job hunting with depression and anxiety. Im moving to another state and do not want to wait tables anymore! I know I am capable of holding a job and am qualified, but I get so depressed and put off looking for jobs. I feel like one will just fall into my lap, I do not want to put in the work to find something. How do I buckle down and feel more comfortable getting a job?

Hello & Welcome Jesuis-lavie.

Job-hunting while depressed is exceptionally difficult. It's almost like having two jobs: 1) job-hunting, and 2) depression management.

What treatment are you receiving for depression? Do you have any insurance or access to health care?

Just for reference: United Way/AIRS 2-1-1

I am on medication for bi-polar disorder and take anxiety medicine. I do not have insurance, and want to go back to the doctor to perhaps adjust my medication. I just moved to a new city and found a support group...it is just a matter of me finding the courage to go.
