When I am feeling emotionally drained and having a hard time motivating myself to get anything done, I ask myself if there is anything that doesn't require too much effort and always makes me feel a little better.
There are some things like watching a movie, listening to music, eating ice cream which make me feel a little better for the moment (or at least they make me forget). But these things involve being passive and I end up feeling much worse afterward. Some slightly more active things I do which are sometimes helpful for me are taking a walk in the forest, taking pictures, playing with my cat, baking and gardening. Which activity makes you feel a little better? |

I feel good when i knit, although all i know how to knit is squares that i can sew together for cat or dog blankets and they look like a kid made them, but i do love to knit anyway. I also lke to read when i can get the incentive to read at least a large portion of the book otherwise i think it would be useless if i can't read alot when i do.I also play the piano but my dog Homer, a beagle, cries when i play.

Baking always makes me feel good. Its nothing complicated its just brown bread, or something simle like that. I love the feel of flour. Sounds silly doesnt it but I love it!
