I've been really really sad a lot of the time lately. But I'm also happy a lot. So I don't know if it's depression because when I'm happy I'm extremely happy and when I'm sad I feel empty inside and wish I would die.

God that sounded sad. The real point of this thread is to ask you people if any of you feel the same way. If so, talk about it. Even if you feel totally different from me, like you have OCD or something, you can still share it. I think it always helps to just tell someone how you feel.

Here, have some positive smileys to help you along with your replies:

I want to feel happy but when I look closely at the mental condition of this world, I just feel sad. At times.

Most days I feel depressed, but I have a day or two where I'm fine. It kind of makes me doubt and question if I really am depressed or not. But even on a good day, one small bad comment can turn it around completely.

I sometimes feel happy. For example yesterday, as I am working overseas, I had a meeting with my colleagues. They were discussing about a project. i was called as a technical expert, as their own was not available this time (I normally work for other projects). I felt happy because my contribution made a difference in the way the project will be structured. Not only for that, i enjoyed the conversations and particularly some new things I learned. In fact, I was happy because I met people that are committed to the work we do (sometimes, in our organization, which is huge, you bump on a lot of people that care very little about the others and that are there just to make money of build on their prestige). But then my wheelchair get broken and then I don't feel so happy right now. But I do not feel much depressed as it normally happens when my wheelchair gets broken. Lastly, I have been unhappy most of time, with some sparks of happiness. Sometimes I experience high enthusiasm or hope, but it last very little.

I'm depressed most of the time. Just sometimes more so than others. Right now I'm pretty depressed after being taken off my meds due to a blood clot in my leg. I'll be glad when I can get back on something or a manic episode would kick in.
