I am new here and not sure where to start other than to say that I have, as of late, seemed to go from bad to worse. I suffer from major depression and although I am on a number of medications I feel really frustrated right now. Frustrated that I'm not seeing the relief that I want to see with the drugs, frustrated with work, frustrated with home. Just overall not good.
I have been hospitalized twice for my depression and have also gone through ECT sessions yet the depression still is there and keeps rearing it's ugly head.
As of late I have been cutting more than normal. I used to be really bad with it then stopped and now started again.
I also recently had to switch doctors due to my insurance not accepting who I was going to and I hate the new doctor. He does nothing for me except writes scripts.
I just feel really lost and alone right now and I am not sure where to go for help. Every place I call about getting in for an appointment says their not taking new patients and I really need to get in somewhere that I can see a doctor and get back into therapy with.
Hugs from:

I live in your country (assuming Northampton is the English one) and I have to say, they did not do you a grand favour by giving you drugs. I know this site shouldn't be a subsitute for proper therapy but there are lots of users here that know just how it feels and will help you soldier through. Your depression won't be gone instantly but you will feel better knowing you're not alone.

Welcome and hugs to you. I hope you can find a place where you can get some help. Therapy did more for me than meds. so I hope you can find what you are looking for. To be heard and understood is such a healing thing.

I couldn't make it withou my meds but therapy goes along way to help us, too. I can't afford therapy right now, so I find PC to be so supportive. Try to get the cutting under control again. Best luck.
