Relatives are coming next spring (April 2014). If I get started now and work at my own pace, I'll be ready for the relatives in April 2016.

In other words, this job will not be accomplished in time without significant help from others. These particular relatives, thankfully, realize I'm not functioning on a Martha Stewart level. They'll find what they find when they arrive, and they don't expect five-star accommodations.

Same for me. Even emptying the dishwasher seems like a huge undertaking most days.

Yesterday was a good day; I cleaned the bathroom to within an inch of its life. No idea where that energy came from, and alas, today it's gone.

OH HECK YES. Things have gotten so bad at may place and I'm happier with some small sense of control as an accomplishment. I was considering hiring someone for a day to just give me a boost in the right direction. It is not really in our budget, but it's for my own mental health.
