Okay so, I'm 13 years old. I have depression, Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia Nervosa. And I also self harm. Anyways, I've tried to get help a lot of online help, some in counseling and some other ways. Today I brought up the idea of residential treatment. My friend went and she said it really helped. I think it might help me two, because I'll be able to go somewhere where I have help 24 seven, there's other people like me there and because I can be away from it and not have to worry 24/7 in school. I've done a lot of research about it and I have some questions.
Would it be a better idea with I go to in patient so I'll be monitored at night. Because at out patient I'll come home but I won't necessarily be watched all night, which is when I usually purge or cut.
Would in patient be better so I could be away from my parents and friends. Because they seem to be a big factor in my depression.
I'm really nervous I'm going to be sent away for around two weeks, what should I tell people before I leave and after I'm back.

I do know I will be going to one of two. My mom is going to my therapist to see which she thinks is best. I just wanted some outside opinions.

I think if you are serious about getting better - you HAVE to go in-patient.

Just my opinion....

Good luck and Gods blessings to you.

^^^^ Ditto...

You could tell people you're going to have a vacation from school for awhile, or going to go visit family, or a family member needs your help for that time being.
