I found out last night that my mom broke her femur completely through. Today she will have surgery to stabilize the break. She is almost 80 and has CHF, KF and COPD. General anesthesia is extemely dangerous for a person in her condition but not doing the surgery is not an option.
I am so scared I barely slept last night. I have been crying all morning out of fear of the dreaded phone call. I am known for preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. I don't know what I am going to do if she doesn't make it through. I can't go be with her and if she doesn't make it I know I will always regret not saying goodbye. Please think positive thoughts for me and if you are religious (I'm not) feel free to pray or whatever you feel fits the situation. ![]()

Toscana, thinking of you from across the Atlantic. You dont have to be religious to pray. Best wishes.
