I had my meeting with my psychiatrist this morning. I am getting a med change. I will be off prozac for five days and then starting cymbalta first at 30mg then 60mg. I am pretty nervous about the switch but trying to stay optimistic. This past week has been very hard and i lost my apetite and havent eaten much. I also took my problems out in a negative way and hurt myself. My psychiatrist really wanted me to be admitted into the hospital because I am feeling unstable but He just gave me different emergency numbers to call. I am really hoping for this closed tunnel to open back up again. At least for a little while because I am overwhelmed right now.

I would also be nervous, but I do think you have reason to be optimistic.

During this transition will it be possible for you to minimize stresses?

Try to think positive Court_1219, I know how med change can be but try to think of this as a positive, a new start in your life. I also know what its like to hurt and to feel shame. Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. You have been through the worst so you are on the way up. Best Wishes to you.
