Well, it's been awhile & still no job. I even signed up for Agency assignments, but no luck. I just don't know what to do. I keep waiting for a call from any of the places I've applied to, but each day passes with no calls. I'm just so frustrated. I just want to crawl in bed & cry myself to sleep. Each day that passes I'm finding it harder and harder to see any light at the end of the tunnel...

This economy is truly a nightmare; what recovery? After so many cover letters, interviews, and lack of progress, I just feel so frustrated by the entire job search regime. Of course, it deepened my depression. Some days I could barely manage the energy to eat. I'm hopeful moving back home will open up some new opportunities for me. Just trying to keep focused on day to day progress for now. Anyway, just know that it isn't you. Many of us are finding ourselves in a similar situation.

Manwithnofriends, I'm a nurse ( kind of ironic...). One of those "there will ALWAYS be a need for..." jobs. Unfortunately, reality is, it's not really that simple. Despite what is said about the need for nurses, there are so many that it's very hard to find a spot.

Whoaminoone, I'm in the same boat. Have no job now and am signed up with a couple of different staffing agencies for even a temp job or part-time job. I'm also applying to various local jobs online. I keep waiting for the phone to ring with an opportunity, but it never does.

To be fair, I've only been at this for a few weeks now, but it seems like an eternity. You are definitely not alone. The days are long waiting for the phone to ring, while I stand ready (and hopefully able) to work. It doesn't help that I, too, am in a nasty depression (was before my job search even started).

Keeping hanging in there. Something will pan out for us. I think it will just take more patience.
