Is there anything, anything at all, that might help?

I'm on a 8 week waiting list for a new therapist. I'm totally suffering right now, though. I'm in constant pain and nothing is helping. I just want an answer

try to recall some happy moments that happened in ur life. if u have a hobby spend more time in it. do something which excites you and makes u forget the pain.

Maybe try meditation or writing stuff down. I also find talking to and getting a different perspective from someone is helpful. Is there someone here or in real life that you can talk and vent to?

8 weeks is a long time. Especially if you're feeling depressed.
All I would suggest is that in these 8 weeks, don't do anything that would worsen your mood. Try all the right things even though they're not working. It's the intention and effort that eventually counts. What kind of pain?

Yeah, but I've already vented to them a lot. It hasn't helped.

One thing I've never tried, though, is meditation. I think I'll give that a shot.

Is there a community center based support group in your area which you could consider joining, at least until you get to see a therapist? Just talking things over, face to face, with a caring group of similar people might do you some good. Not to push religion on you, because I am not in any way doing so, but you could talk to a pastor of a local church about your issue. Ask the pastor just to listen with a sympathetic ear without hitting you over the head with religious views or religious solutions....if that's something concerning you. Good luck, hope all goes well with you, Poppy Princess.

A veritable cornucopia of treatment options are available without a prescription. Without hesitation I would go to the store right now and get Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, and NAC. Vitamin D3 and NAC are the important ones to get...
  • Vitamin D3: 8,000 I.U. daily for one week, then 4,000 I.U. daily for one month, then 2,000 I.U. daily after that.
  • N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC): 1,800 mg daily for one week, then 1,200 mg daily after that.
  • Vitamin C: 500 mg daily.
  • Vitamin E: 400 I.U. daily.
The active metabolite of vitamin D3, calcitriol, is an astrocyte glutathione catalyst. NAC is cysteine, cysteine is the rate limiting amino acid precursor that is needed to produce glutathione. Glutathione is the core chemical your body makes to defend itself from oxidative stress and reactive species. Astrocytes release glutathione into the extracellular space and γ-glutamyltranspeptidase breaks down glutathione to a cysteine–glycine dipeptide and glutamate. The dipeptide is hydrolyzed to glycine and cysteine, and all 3 amino acids are then available for neuronal glutathione synthesis. Neuronal glutathione production is believed to be primarily mediated by astrocytic glutathione release, and astrocytic glutathione production is rate-limited by cysteine and calcitriol, among other things.

If your symptoms are the result of oxidative stress, inflammation (cysteine has anti-inflammatory effects), or NMDA dysfunction (glutathione interacts directly with the NMDA redox site), you should see significant improvements within two weeks. Many other options are available, but without knowing more details about you and your symptoms I can only jot down a list of OTC supplements that have demenstrated efficacy in treating affective and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. NAC can be found at most local stores, but if you're having difficulty finding it, GNC keeps it in stock. If you would like to know more about NAC, start here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3044191/
  • N-Acetyl Cysteine
  • Coenzyme Q10
  • Alpha-Lipoic Acid
  • Ginkgo Biloba
  • Aspirin
  • S-Adenosyl Methionine (SAM-e)
  • N-Methly Glycine (Sarcosine)
  • Glycine
  • D-Serine
  • D-Alanine
  • Pregnenolone
  • Omega 3 Fatty Acids
  • Lithium Orotate
  • Astaxanthin
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin E

have you tried self-talk? it's just talking as if a therapist was in front of you. just talk and talk just to get the pain out of your system. it's not a cure but might help you hang on till you see the new t. if i may ask, what is your pain from? all the best to you.

[FONT="Hello there. Yes, I agree that it will feel a long time until you get to see a therapist. I'd suggest using PC as much as you can. Feel your way around the various groups, try and make a few good friends, who suffer the same or similar things/symptoms that you do. I'm sure it may well help. I send you big HUGZZ and a lot of LOVES. XXXXX Comic Sans MS"][/FONT]

Hmm, I wish I could help, all I know is a bunch of natural antidepressants you can eat in the meantime, such as grapefruit, red bell peppers, mangos, avocado, and dark chocolate.

Thanks, I keep trying lot of natural antidepressants. I have a therapy appointment tomorrow. I'm still stuck on the waiting list, but this is an opening I guess.
