I always feel like everything is my fault. From my parents hard work to other people's sufferings, I always feel like I am to blame for. Whenever I see people who is suffering, I always feel guilty. I usually beat myself up when I felt so much guilt in me. I thought to myself that I am someone who deserved to suffer and be punished. I don't know the origin of my problem.
I'm sorry if I took your time. I just wanted someones opinion on my problem. Thank you.

I can really relate to the feelings of guilt. I am feeling a lot of that these days. I feel like I should be punished and hurt, especially when other people are going through a lot harder time than I am.

No real advice. But one thing is that you are NOT wasting anyone's time. We are here to support people, so no worries.
Thanks for this!

Hello & Welcome, Marc28. Descriptions of what you are feeling -- long or short -- are welcome here.

I have a similar problem; I am quick to assume blame for everything bad around me. Yes, this involves feeling guilty or blameworthy for things over which I have no possible control or to which I have no connection.

My guess is this has something to do with my upbringing in the peculiar circumstances of my own family.

Please keep posting.

I just want you to know that you're not alone. I could have written your post. I struggle with overwhelming feelings of guilt. I think everybody deserves to be happy/successful/loved/liked more than I do. I feel guilty for what I have and feel like I don't deserve goodness in my life. Are you in therapy? If you are, I'd recommend talking about this if you haven't already.

I feel immense guilt.. Then I feel guilty for feeling guilty. It's horrible. It can be for absolutely ridiculous things.. Then it's a downward spiral. You're not alone in your guilt. I do envy the people who go through life without the smallest bit of guilt

Sean..
