wanting, are you seeing a doc? Drinking can hinder your recovery as it can depress you further (though initially it seems to make you feel better & less anxious) & if you are on meds it can lessen the effectiveness of them. I've been there with the drinking--drank to the point of having blackouts & my first child was 2 1/2 mos. early due to my drinking & smoking while pregnant.
People with mental illnesses often have an addiction to alcohol or drugs, as well. Talk to your doc about your drinking. You might have to go into some kind of program for that. When you get the right meds & are feeling better you will realize you don't need the alcohol. Best of luck to you.--Suzy |

Hello I hope you are doing better. I agree with SUZY. Drinking causes depression, and makes things look worse tha they really are sometimes. Have you thought about going to AA meetings? I have the hotline number for alcoholism in the posts but the number you can call is1-800-331-2900 for alcoholism and 1-800-273-TALK for mental health issues. NAMI and DBSA offer groups as well. A good support system is necessary to be productive in alcoholism. The first step is wanting to get help and following through with geting help, and finding something that keeps your time more productive and more positive.
Take care wishing you the best Soidhonia __________________ The Caged Bird Sings with a Fearful Trill of Things Unknown and Longed for Still and his Tune is Heard on the Distant Hill for the Caged Bird Sings of Freedom |

I, totally agree, Wanting, alcohol will make you more depressed. Please talk to your doctor and find another way.
