I really don't. I am either depressed, or when I am happy I am really irritable, & don't have a tolerance for anything. I can't anything right because I just mess up on everything, & I do not have motivation to do anything. I have no joy, or nothing to live for.

I'm sure it sucks,I actually can relate to that quite a bit. It can change though. Life truly is what you make it, and only you can make it better. If you feel like you have nothing to live for, then find something. It's not always easy, but it's worth the hard work to feel good. I know it may sound stupid, but you have the power to make your life what you want it to be.

Hi The Fox and The Hound,
Like you, I think that some things can make our life miserable and we cannot control them. I am not sure about that life is what we do with it, but, your feelings will change. Please, hang on in there

hi, the problem with depression is when you experience a little happiness you are scared how long it is going to last, which makes you very miserable that you can't enjoy that little happiness. with depression you tend to take wrong decisions, experience short term memory loss, mess up everything. these are all the symptoms which you must accept. don't try to fight with these feelings because they make matters worse. just accept that your are experiencing depression and that these feeling are part of it. there is nothing to be embarrassed to accept. when you accept, it eases your pain. then try to reach out to psych or therapist. in the mean time can you think of one thing that makes you happy, it can be anything. cling to that even if it means sacrificing other things. why don't you try living for that one thing instead of ending your life.

fox Just last week I was where you are, with a little adjustment to my medicine and I'm better today. Don't know how long it will last but right now I'm okay. Maybe you are one day away from a break through too.

Have you ever tried lithium? I think it can help with the suicidal ideations you're having. Talk to your doctor, a starting dose of 300 mg daily will help suppress the suicidal thinking. If you respond very well to it, you may have a form of treatment resistant depression that would respond better to a different set of medications, lamotrigine for instance.

Oh I see, well go to GNC and pick up some NAC, or SAM-e. When do you see a doctor?
