I have decided I need to go and see my doctor about the problems I am having.

I'm really nervous though, I've been putting this off for a long time and now I'm going tomorrow.

I'm afraid he'll dismiss me or belittle me like my last doctor so I'm really dreading it I'm a bit scared...

I find it really hard to express the way I feel in words, does anyone remember how they approached there doctor in this way, its been a while since I spoke to anyone about these things and I don't even know where to begin

So nervous and a bit panicky

I find if I write things down that I need to talk to him about and then take the paper in with me and glance at it as I need to, that I can let him know what my problems are.
Good luck!!

Thanks for your support Pamelasu and Boopers.

I didn't go I'm a bit scared... , I'm so disappointed in myself but I just couldn't face it and cancelled my appointment.

I know that I have to face my fear and go so now I need to make another appointment and actually go this time.

I'm so annoyed at myself for being such an idiot about this

Is it possible to have a good friend or family member that you trust go with you to the appointment? Someone that can be supportive and a second set of ears can be very helpful and may be just what you need to help motivate you to go.

Try to remember that your issues are important to you. If you have a doc that doesn't validate your problems, then find one who will. It may take a bit of time and trouble on your part, but it can mean all the difference in the world to you when you find the right compassionate doc.

I wish you well and much success ((((polka))))

Hello i hope things are better for you at thie time. It is okay to cancel the appointmnet but you should reschedule the appointment, and maybe take someone with you and maybe go out to lunch after the appointment. that way your mind is on something positive so the appointment goes better, and you are not as nervous because you are lloking forward to something after that appointment. This way your whole day will hopefully be more positive.. Take care Sincerely Soidhonia
