I'm trying so hard to get through this breakup after 5 years. I can't eat, sleep, move, do anything. I'm in so much pain for how someone could treat me after so long. I feel empty inside. Please let me hear a kind word.

I'm sorry you're in pain, Msmith. I know from experience that the pain of a breakup does go away eventually. Hang in there in the meantime, try to spend time with others to distract yourself and, above all, know that this will pass.

Hello & Welcome, Msmith6062.

Five years... Perhaps the stresses and sorrow of the breakup triggered something more. What are the ways you've tried to recover? Have you seen a doctor?

Please keep posting.

Hi, MSmith. Have you considered counseling. Sometimes our grief is so hard we need help working through it.
